Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Foghorn Fitness ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Slowfit Method app and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1a. Information You Provide
- Account information: your name and email address when you register.
- Onboarding data: your fitness goal, fitness level, and ideal body weight (used to calculate your personalized protein target).
- Habit logs: daily entries for sleep, breathwork, mobility, hydration, exercise, alcohol-free days, meditation, protein intake, and produce intake.
- Chat messages: conversations with the Coach Keir AI assistant.
- Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number.
1b. Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage data: device type, operating system, app version, and general usage patterns.
- Push notification token: if you enable notifications, we store a device token to deliver them.
- Timezone: used to schedule notifications at appropriate local hours.
1c. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not connect to or collect data from wearable devices (Oura, Garmin, WHOOP, Apple Watch, etc.) unless you explicitly connect them in a future feature release.
- We do not collect precise GPS location.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and personalize the Service, including calculating your protein target and populating your habit tracker.
- Power the Coach Keir AI, which uses your profile, habit history, and chat context to generate coaching responses.
- Send push notifications related to your habit streaks, incomplete habits, and follow-up coaching prompts. You can opt out at any time in Settings.
- Process subscription payments via Stripe.
- Improve the Service through anonymized, aggregated analytics.
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
3. AI and Third-Party Services
The Coach Keir AI is powered by the Anthropic Claude API. When you send a message, your message text, recent conversation history, and relevant profile data (name, goal, level, protein target) are transmitted to Anthropic’s servers to generate a response. Anthropic’s privacy policy governs their handling of this data:

We do not transmit your full habit history or personally identifiable health records to Anthropic. Only the context necessary to answer your specific question is included.
We also use the following services:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting (data stored in the United States).
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe’s privacy policy.
- OneSignal — push notification delivery. Subject to OneSignal’s privacy policy.
- Vercel — app hosting and serverless functions.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database service hosted in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), row-level security so that users can only access their own data, and hashed/tokenized payment credentials via Stripe.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., payment records).

6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.

7. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document and, where required, notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
