I started this little business during the pandemic as a way of helping people stay active and live healthier lives during these extraordinarily challenging times. I lead weekly group fitness classes (virtual and in-person), and dole out plenty of (mostly welcomed) holistic advice about healthy habits. Maybe I can help you too.
I teach about a dozen classes each week: TRX, HIIT and Spin formats. All levels welcome. Some classes are offered through the YMCA, some through other private clubs, and some I offer on my own (Foghorn Fitness classes are open to everyone--scroll down for more info). My current weekly calendar is below. And I regularly post outtakes from my classes--and a bunch of info regarding diet, breath practice, meditation, mobility, etc.--on my Instagram feed. Oh, and I write a regular "Foghorn Fitness' Week Ahead" email, that you can check out here. I hope you'll subscribe (you can do that at the bottom of this website).

At present, I'm offering three Foghorn Fitness classes: TRX on Mondays at 12p PT, Spin on Tuesdays at 12p PT, and HIIT on Fridays at 9a PT. I teach these classes virtually, via Zoom, and the action goes down in my backyard (weather permitting). If we're lucky, the Golden Gate Bridge's foghorn might even blow during class. I also have dozens of video edits of previous classes that are available on-demand. Classes and videos are only $10, payable via Venmo (@kjbeadling), and the Zoom ID is here. Email me for more details.
Are you a mouthbreather? I mean that in the technical, medical sense. Well, are you? If so, let's knock that off. I'm a big proponent of nasal breathing, and a recent CNN piece offers some further justification for my constant harangues against mouthbreathing: You're ruining your sleep! So close your mouths and read the article, hmmm?
The September 26, 2020 16th Annual Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS and Walk is a one-day virtual cycling event designed to appeal to every level of cyclist and supporter of The ALS Association. "Team Turtle" is riding to celebrate the life of Steve Ertel, who bravely battled ALS up until his passing last Spring. Along the way, he showed his family and friends every day what it looks like to live with dignity, courage and humor. We miss him. We'd appreciate your help with our fundraising towards a treatment and a cure.
By the way, Steve routinely kicked my ass at any and all endurance events in which we competed back in the day (as I wrote on my blog awhile back).
My other day job--or one of my other day jobs--is writing. I keep a personal blog called "The Lemonade Chronicles," in which I document my daily, quixotic quest for the bright side. Click here if you'd like to follow along.
